Roman Catholic Church in 34 table to thé more than 195 regis- tered donors who had promised to donate blood but simply fail- ad to show up at the clinic. For this reason emphasis is being placed upon the importance of each donor who agrees to give blood to actually show up at the clinic as promised. For the last two months the demand for blood at the Oshawa General Hospital has broken all previous records. Officials are concerned at this sharp rise some two months before the summer holiday season when, due to the high accident rate, requirements for blood normally rise. "Imagine the consternation and sense of outrage if it was reveal- ed that a patient at the hospital had died because blood required for a life-saving transfusion was not available," warned Robert H. Stroud, chairman of the clinic committee. "Each person who has agreed to give blood or, even a person who is perfectly capable of giv- ing blood, and fails to support the monthly Clinic cannot escape the very real and serious risk that such indifference might spell the difference between life and death," Mr. Stroud said. Clinic hours at St. Gregory's Auditorium this Thursday will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 9 pm. A teleph call to he continued.
