The meeting opened by prayer by Mrs, George Pickett, Mrs. Lloyd Wilson chose for her de- votional topic "Mary, the Moth- er of Jesus". Two poems were read, "A Woman's Job" by Mrs. Walter Carson and "A Woman Loved" by Mrs. Lewis Jones, Mrs. Ralph Jones showed some slides on the 60th anniver- sary of the Woman's Associa- tion of Mt. Zion. Those receiving county hon- ors at the Achievement Day at Port Perry were Gladys Disney and Lynda Hoskins. Those re- ceiving certificates and spoons were Sheila Disney, Janet Jones and Doreen Jones. ««.. Mrs. William Harbron and Mrs. William Carson left Mon~ day by plane for England and Scotland. - Mrs. Burnett Jamieson 'and Mary Jean attended the haptis- mal services at Claremont when Ronnie Ward, grandson of 'MY. and Mrs. B. Jamieson, was bap- tized. Mr. Irving McAvoy was baptized. Mr. Irving McAvoy and Kathleen and Mrs. Errol Carson attended when Mr. Mec- Avoy's granddaughter, Shelly Ward, was baptized.
