I. McBrien. Second Crop Of Raspberries In Brooklin Garden By MRS. ARTHUR ELLIOTT BROOKLIN -- Congratu- lations and good wishes from the community are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Blake DeHart, who on Thursday, September 28, celebrated their 40th wed- ding anniversary. Blake is a life long resident of Brooklin, and still resides on the farm on the seventh concession where he was born. His wife, formerly Maud Kivell, resided in Brooklin sev- eral years before her marriage, and was a former resident of Enfield. This happy couple is widely known throughout the commu- nity for their cheerfulness and willingness in participating in pumerous activites. - Blake DeHart was president 8, Frokin Spring Fair for 1, and is active in many eircles. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pouwels who last week received word of the sing of his mother, Mrs. R. Pouwels, at her home in Hol Speed: recovery is wished for Mrs. Harry McBrien, patient at Port Perry Community Hospi- tal. RASPBERRY CROP Your correspondent was pleas- antly surprised at finding a sec- ond crop of raspberries on bushes which had been cut down and pruned at conclusion of bearing fruit at end of July. This was probably due to the balmy sunshine of the past two weeks. Parents Council Euchre Party By MRS. A. L. HOOEY BOWMANVILLE -- The Par- ents' Council of the Oshawa and District Cerebral Palsy School and Clinic held a euchre party of 12 tables in Memorial Park Clubhouse, Bowmanville, re- cently. Conveners were Mrs. David Clarke and Mrs, Albert Rose. The euchre parties will be held the third Tuesday of each month during the coming season. Prize winners were -- Mrs. Bernice Bothwell, Miss Irene Bothwell, A. Clapp, T. Gould, I. Thompson and Thomas Mar- tin. Mrs. S. McFadden won the door prize. Councillor Annie Oke, presi dent of Memorial Park Associa- tion, assisted by David Gray, president of the Parents Coun- cil, drew the tickets for the annual draw. The first prize of a transistor radio was won by Mrs. Betty Snowden, Maple Grove; second prize a wool blanket to Mrs. J.
