An Ontario Supreme Court jury found Tuesday in an ali- enation of affections suit that Dr. John R. LaCroix, 49, com- mitted adultery with his former patient, Mrs. Helen Langer, 33. The jury of three men and three women deliberated for more than five hours, then as- sessed $3,000 damages for em- barassment to Mr. Langer, $10, 000 for mental strain resulting from his wife's adultery with the doctor, and $5,000 for his loss of companionship. Mr. Langer sued Dr. LaCroix for alienation of the affections of his wife and criminal conver- sation (adultery). The jury found that Mrs. Lan- ger's affections for Mr. Langer were lost before she met the doctor.
