Sept. 27 On Sunday, Sept. 27th Minor Softball closing day will be held at the Lakefront Park. The main attraction will be the return of Vini's Mini's. All softball fans will want to be on hand as the Mini's go through their antics on the diamond as they do battle with the Legion Aux. Minor Girls. This will be the wind-up of the local softball season and the House League Chan pions will receive their tro- phies and crests. To date the only winner known is the Bantam Girls Champions:-- Bev. Evan's girls who beat out Gibson's girls in the final game on Saturday. winter will be at Scarbor- ough, Richmond Hill and in Port Perry. The registration forms for the 1970-71 season are in the mail this week to club mem- bers and new prospective members wishing to become a part of our club may con. tact Mrs. D. Morrow, 985-7226 before September 30th. A fin- al registration day will be held at the arena on Friday, October 2nd between 3.30 and 6.30 p.m. This year the club executive have set a limit on the number of mem- berships and it is apparent to register with Mrs. Morrow before the final date. Skating days this year will be on Tuesday and Thursday and plans are to start Octob- er 20th. Private lesson time will be available on both days at $2.50 per lesson. Unfortunately cost of oper- ation in a skating club or any other organization continues to rise, thus necessitating an increase in membership fees.
