G -- PORT PERRY STAR Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1970 HOLD ANNUAL BANQUET Rod &-Gun Club Present Awards Port Perry Red & Gun Club held their Annual Awards night and deffet supper Sat Dec. 5 in the CCC. Hall Ron Bowman CLL. Repre | sentative explained the new CLL. Sheeting Sports pro gram to the members and presented the Awards. The new "deadlines" Display advertising of lar- ger size, articles, reports from meetings, etc, 5 p.m. Monday Classified and smaller dis- play ads not later thin 12 There were 94 awards pre sented showing a very active jyear for both the club and the shooting members. The Junior Trophy war presented by Cecil King t- Greg. Good who won thik trophy for the second conse cutive year, with a score of 406 x 500. The Senior Trophy was presented to Walter Albers who won this trophy with a hard to beat score of 1000 x 1000. The club was presented with a new trophy for Pistol |Shoeters. This fine trophy was presented to Cec. King who also showed slides, show-| B ing gun making in East Pak- istan, and then showed one] # of the guns to prove the primitive tools that they use to work with. The members exchanged Xmas gifts ano more than a few chuckles were heard when the gifts were unwrap- ped. Ed Evans of Uxbridge showed two films on hunting and fishing in Labrador fol- lowed by a film on fishing in Manitoba. The evening was concluded with a fine buffet supper pre- pared by the ladies of the | by Professor Mackay Hewer, | Club. noon, Tuesday. GUARDIAN..
