Northern Italy was the theme of the second film. We all enjoyed it. The"country is beautiful and the people there seem all so friendly. 33 residents turned out to see the films. Black of the Presbyterian Church and some of his choir came and gave us a lovely service. Mrs. Vie Stouffer ,the organ- ist played the piano. She is Mrs. Letcher's sister. Mr. Don Milne and Mrs. R. Hun- ter sang "Pause at his feet for a moment of prayer". Mrs, Williams sang "The Old | Rugged Cross". Most enjoy- .j able. Mr. Black gave a real enlightening sermon. After the service we had tea, sandwiches and cookies provided by the ladies of the church. We thank you all. A Stanley products demon- stration was held in our lounge on Monday night for the ladies. Mrs. Middleton from Ashburn presented the wares. This was a pleasant change for the ladies who enjoyed buying a few artciles. Mrs. Bogie won the lucky draw prize. Ice cream, cook- jes and tea were served. Thank you ladies for the evening. Some time ago a large se- lection of books way given to us by Mr. and Mrs. Mum- ford. These are gratefully appreciated.
