U2 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wed, March 10, 1971 For the past six weeks, farmers from Cartwright Township have been attending a special course, designed to acquaint them with the uses of elec- tricity on their farms. it was sponsored by the rural division of Ontario Hydro, thifought the Bowmanville Area office. On Monday, the course con- cluded with a delicious dinner at the Community Centre in Blackstock served by the ladies of the Women's institute, when those present received their framed diplomas and later were taken by bus on a tour of the Lake- view generating plant.
