Monita Appleton spent Sat urday with Beth Wilson. Melody Appleton stayed over Saturday evening with Janet Reader. And Ricky Appleton spent several days up at the Sports- man's Show in Toronto, re- cently. A good turnout was re ported at the Musical Choir Concert last Friday evening. Mr. & Mrs. George Smith, Stephenson's Point, were re- cent Monday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas, at Greenbank. Recent holiday visitors of the E. Brown's were Ron and Sharon Hancock, Chris and Sandy, of Orillia, and Ted & Connie Rae, Lisa and Stephen of Clarkson. Last Saturday evening, Mr. & Mrs. Claude Parker, Glen, Susan and Ruth, went to Scar- boro, where Mr. and Mrs. Parker attended a formal Night, at the Masonic Lodge, where Sylvia's father, Mr Perey Myers, was Master of said Lodge. While in the city they stayed overnite at the home of Sylvia's brother, Everett Myers, had luncheon with Ken and Shirley McLeod and were dinner guests on Sun day with her father, P. Myers at Brooklin. A meeting of the Ompah Hunt Club was held at Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith's home, at Portview on Wed., March 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Smith hosted the Hunt Club meet- ing Members present in- cluded: Dean Patte, Stephen- son's Point, Don Smith, Pine Point, Ross Mobray, Lindsay, Monty Cranfield, Caesarea; Robt. Taylor, prop. Seaway Motors, Whitby, Dr. Webster, Veterinarian, Oshawa, and of course, Fred Smith, Portview Refreshments were served by Mrs. Betty Smith and enjoy- ed by all. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Smith and son Jimmy of Washburn Island visited with Mr. and Mrs. Don Smith, Pine Point, on Saturday. Mrs. Arthur Thompson and gon Basil, were at their cott age, Pine Point Tecently. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sanders and daughters Mary & Susan spent holidays at their cott- age recently. Mrs. Rose Chappell & son Peter spent Spring vacation at their cottage Pine Point. Mrs. Chappell has recently retired from the Toronto Board of Education. Mr. Chappell, who will shortly re- tire from Eaton's, joined his family on Thursday evening. Mr. Don Smith reports that the blue cranes are back from the South, and claims they are a sure arrival of Spring.
