Mr. and Mrs. Norman Green, of Cartwright, celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday, March 23rd, and to share the milestone with their many friends and relatives heid an 'At Home' at the Anglican Parish Hall in Blackstock on March 28th. An estimated 200 people showed up to wish the couple well. Mr. Green, now in his 77th year, was born in Cartwright, as were both his parents before him. His wife nee Ethel Whitfield is also a native of the area. The couple have lived all their lives in Cartwright. Mr. Green operat- ed a mixed farm there. When he retired seven years ago he handed the farming business over to his two sons, Jack and Don. He is a hard man to keep off the farm and returns to help out his sons whenever weather will permit.
