Skelding - George Williams Skelding passed away after an illness of three months, on Saturday, April 24, 1971, in Port Perry Community Hospi- tal. Mr. Skelding was born and educated near Orono, Ontario He married Elizabeth Arch on April 27, 1929. They farmed for forty years at R.R. 1, Blackstock, retiring two years ago to the village of -Back- stock, where he lived until his death. Mr. Skeiding was a member of the United Church. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, three sons, William of Newtonville, George of Chippawa and Jack of R. R. 1 Port Perry and five grand- children Funeral service was held from the Morris Funeral Home, Bowmanville, on April 26, 1971. Rev. Victor Parsons was the officating clergyman. In- terment at Orono Cemetery Pall bearers were Eari Martyn, Beverly Jaynes, Jack Holmes, Bill Lake, Arthur Bedwin and Merv.
