Seniors Lose, Juniors Win In Shooting Competitions Port Perry Rod and Gun] Club have been recently in- volved in several shooting competitions. The Port Perry Pistol Club visited Peterborough on May A. E. Johnson 229 MARY STREET 985 -2383 Sth. Two targets each of slow, timed, and rapid fire, were shot and Port Perry won by 44 points. was made up of three girls and two boys to prove that shooting is not just a man's sport. Port Perry had four boys and one girl shooting. The following night, May 6, Whitby gun club visited Port Perry and a shooting match was held between Whitby & Port Perry Junior and Senior shooters. The Senior shoot turned out badly for Port Perry when Whitby turned in a score of 1756 - 102x, Port Perry 1676 - 53x. The high score for the Senior men was 296-22x, shot by Ron Aldred of Whitby. He} shooting 300 - 21x. Highest score for the girls was by Kathy Jackson of Port Perry who shot 300-15x A return match is planned at Whitby on June 2 and Port Perry is hoping to regain their loss and go on to win this competition.
