Those who at- tended church during his long pastorate couldn't help but remember that it was a very favourite hymn and the singing brought memories. The funeral service in the church was conducted by the present pastor Rev. L. A Critch with a long - time friend Rev. Ewart Gulléy»of Smithtown delivering the ad- dress and brother-inlaw Mr. Don Darrell of Elmwood reading the lesson. Inter- ment was in Pleasant Point cemetery. An unusua! number of rela tives from a distance came to pay their last respects in- cluding the McNeil's daugh- ter Dorothy (Mrs. Lutteral) from Edmonton, two of Mr. McNeil's three sisters from Jamaica, Mrs. McNeil's sister and her husband (Mr, & Mrs. Durham from Bermuda, an- other sister and her husband INVEST NOW! She is at present working part time in Whitby but will go to Osh- awa General Hospital in September. Many of our holidayers have had it for this year. The Nicholls, Nodwell and Ken Short families have all arrived home from the north, the Belairs from the east and the Neil Wanamakers from a short distance east. Mrs. Susan Hammond's sis- ter Mrs. Phoebe Wilhelm | from Baltimore Maryland has been visiting her for2 weeks but is returning home on Tuesday. Mrs. Cora Moase of Tor- onto who has been visiting the Keens went home on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. L. Lowry frm Orono were Sunday guests of the B. L. Wana- makers. Our new citizens have ar- rived. The Don Beatocks moved into the Espie house on Monday. Mrs. Rita Boe is off on an- other holiday with son Carl and: his family at Skelton Lake near Bracebridge. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Sturman and family leave for a holi- day in the Lake Placid area on Tuesday. Junior visitors here last week were Greg Davidson of Oshawa at the Belairs and John and Jo-Ellen Pollard of Stouffville at the Hunter home.
