We have now reached the| final week of playground Soon, the summer, too, will end. I am writing this with a note of personal nostalgia because it is over so quickly. However, the Playground is not to let summer slip away without sending it off with a bang. To celebrate summer in our own way we are having a@ superspecial event! 'Not just for Tot Lot and Senior Playground kids, but for Moms & Dads too -- A Car- nival! The date for the fes tivities is Thursday, Aug. 26 beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a Parade including all of the playgrounders. The parade will travel down Queen Street to the arena where the carnival will be held. The entire carnival has been plan- ned and will be operated by the Seniors at Playground. There will bé games, re- freshments, a wishing well and even a haunted house. The best part is that most of the games are only Ic. each, Se. at the most. The job pacement figures for this year are high er than for the equivalent period in 1970. One hundred and two, or approximatey two-thirds of the 1971 graduates are now working in career related jobs. A further 25 graduates have indicated that they will be taking further education at university or teacher's col- lege.
