The new colors for the 34th Battalion have arrived and are in possession of Major Farewell. We had the pleasure of inspecting them and of hearing the opinions of several military men who were present, and agreed that they are elegant and satisfactory. We understand that their presentation will take place at the fall show here, when Mr. Warden H. J. Gould will surround himself with a civic staff consisting of as many county councillors and civic dignitaries as can be brought together, and formally hand them over in the name of the County of Ontario to Lieut. Col. Paterson and his gallant staff of officers. It will be a ceremony worth witnessing.
