Many reports have been flying to the effect that G. E. Alger, who is to stand trial in Marion the alleged insurance fraud, had left the country for good. These stories were the outcome of a Toronto World reporter’s imagination, and apparently have no foundation in fact, as Alger was here on Friday last (Feb. 14) and states his intention of meeting his accusers in court.
