Almonds – On Sunday morning (Nov. 4) about 8 o’clock, fire broke out in the school house, and it had gained so much headway before being noticed, nothing could be done. The school was insured in the Maple Leaf Insurance Company. On Monday (Nov. 5) a school meeting was held when it was decided that a new school be built at once. Miss Wilson, the teacher, is spending a week at her home at Wingham, until further arrangements are made.
