On any Bell Company station-to-station call within Ontario and Quebec, placed after 9 p.m. any evening, you will be charged at low night rates for the first five minutes. Then--keep talking! There is no additional charge for the next five minutes. (You get ten minutes of Long Distance for the price of five.) From then on, every two minutes you talk will only be charged as one minute. Short-haul "Night-Economy" calls On Long Distance calls where the basic rate is 10 cents, you can now talk up to ten minutes for 10 cents and each additional six minutes for 5 cents. "Night-Economy" Plan for business, too If you find it convenient to place business calls after 9 p.m., transmit data from one city to 'another, or use recording equipment for out-of- town salesmen's reports, you too can take ad- vantage of this new "Night-Economy" Plan. "NIGHT-ECONOMY" PLAN PART OF WIDE REDUCTIONS IN MOST LONG DISTANCE RATES While the new "Night-Economy" Plan is the lowest-cost Long Distance pian ever offered to our customers, there are also considerable re- ductions in most day and night station-to-station calls over 48 miles--the direct result of the economies that arise from the expanding use of automatic dialing equipment (Direct Distance Dialing). Station-to-station calls Day and night rates are reduced by 5 to 75 cents for the first three minutes between most points over 48 miles: overtime rates are reduced cor- respondingly. (To maintain consistency in the mileage schedule there is an increase in the night. rate of 5 cents for the first three minutes between a few points over 48 miles.) Rates remain unchanged for distances of 48 miles and under. If you call station-to-station instead of person-to-person, you can now save up to 50% (even more after 6 p.m. and all day Sunday).
