Couple Honored On Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pearce, Adelaide avenue west, were honored last Saturday, by a party given at Fernhill Club- house on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary, with their family as hosts. Mrs. Pearce is the former Edna Callan, daughter of Mrs. C. M. Callan, Coboconk and the late Mr. Callan .Mr. Pearce is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry H. Pearce. Mr. Pearce also grew up in Coboconk. They were married in the Anglican Church in Fenelon Falls on Jan- uary 15, 1923. Mr. and Mrs. Pearce have four daughters, Mrs. Laurie Barkwell (Jean), Burlington; Mrs, Wren Blair (Elma), King- ston; Mrs. Grant Morrison (Beryl), Oshawa, Mrs. Robert Taylor (Lois), Oshawa and three sons, Beverly, Douglas and Ger- ald, all of Oshawa. They also have 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Master of ceremonies at the party and buffet supper was Mr. Wren Blair who gave a toast to the honored couple. A presentation was made of many gifts from friends and relatives, after which the evening was spent in dancing. Among those present was Mrs. Pearce's mother, Mrs. C. M. Callan, Peterborough as well as*other guests from Coboconk, Burlington, Peterborough and Kingston.
