By PATRICIA RUSAK TORONTO (CP) -- The man who always plays it safe with a grey flannel suit is just as dull, fashion-wise, as the woman who goes everywhere in a little black dress, says fashion con- sultant Joy Davies. "Today men's fashions are changing almost like women's, hough not quite as quickly. And men should not be afraid o experiment with the new ooks, colors and fabrics." For the past two years Miss Davies has been giving what she laughingly calls '"'a charm course" for men, many of them young executives, "Men don't realize that their appearance is so much of their projection and person- ality,' Miss Davies has discov- ered. And in the first of five one- hour sessions, she frankly as- sesses a client's appearance and decides how it may be im- proved. Mannerisms. and bad habits are checked as she no- tices them during the course, THREE MAIN STYLES The three main looks in men's suits today are the Edwardian look with high buttoned jackets and tight pants; the sportier tweedy look; the "middle of the road" look with the looser fitting one- or two-button jacket. "Baggy pants and heavy padded shoulders are out." The Edwardian look is consid- ered extreme and generally avoided by executives, but too (emen Jo Aldwinckle, Women's Editor Dial 723-3474 THE OSHAWA TIMES, Wednesday, February 20,1963 7 UNITS, GROUPS, AUXILIARIES Mrs, Edward Glazier, program chairman, A letter was read from Mrs. Jo 'Aldwinckle expressing the hope that some Israeli dancers would be among the @hnic groups participating in the Osh- awa Folk Festival, May 12.
