At 11.15 p.m. a buffet supper of ham, turkey and a variety of salads and pickles was served, after which all members were issued with fancy hats, whistles, noise makers, streamers and balloons to add to the gaiety of welcoming the New Year. Members danced the Palais Glide, Knees Up Mother Brown and the Kokey Hokey as well as the usual waltzes, quicksteps and foxtrots. The building fund raffle was won by Mr. George Turner, and door prizes went to the following members, Mr. J. W, Stewart won an electric can Year's Eve Ball Prizes won during the Spot Waltz went to Mr. Richard Mosier and partner, Mr, Ted Savage and partner and Mr. Lawrence Connelly and partner, Coffee was served at 1.30 a.m. and the event ended with O Can- ada ard God Save the Queen. Those responsible for organ- izing this dance were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Finch and the en- tertainment committee, The next function to be held by the Oshawa and District Old Coun- try Club will be Scots' Night at the Knights of Columbus Hall, fanuary 25, 1964.
