McROBBIE Joint Celebration Marks Golden And Silver Weddings A unique occasion arose re- cently when Mr, and Mrs, Wal- tre Thomas Pringle celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary jointly with their daughter, Mrs. Alex McRobbie and Mr. McRob- bie who were celebrating their 25th. Both couples live in Bow- manville and the double recep- tion was held at the Lions' Cen- tre, Bowmanville. Mrs; Pingle is the former Lu- ella Margaret Thompson, daugh- ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Thompson, Stoughton, Sas- katchewan, and her brilegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pingle. They were united in marriage by the Rev- erend Lawson at Carlisle, Sas- katchewan, on Dec. 18, 1913. Twenty-five. years later on De- cember 24, 1938, their daughter, Phfilis Marjorie, . became. the b of Alex McRobbie, son of Mrs. Copeland, Leroux, Sask., and: the late Mr. William Mc- Robbie, in Deer Park United pn Toronto, with the Rev- erend Kingsley Joblin. officiat- Mr. and Mrs. Pingle farmed at Stoughton, Saskatchewan un- til November 1937 when they and. their seven children moved to Bowmanville. They now re- side at.RR 1, Hampton with theif. son, Oscar. They pave 22 grat dren.
