Mrs. Lorenzo 'Trull prepared and presented the motto, 'Honest toil is the price of success." It contained helpful thoughts. Miss Mary Bradley of Zion gave a piano solo which all en- joyed. The topic on "Mi'ling" was prepared by Mrs. J. A. Burrows, and in her absence was read by Mrs. Luther Allin. The meeting closed by all singing the National Anthem with Miss N. WILLIAM DELANEY The death of Mrs, William Delaney, 553 Emerald avenue, occurred suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 29, in her 20th year. Born in Liverpool, bon ayy she was the former Patricia A Davies, only child of Ronald and Irene Davies. She received her early education in Liverpool and later attended O'Neill Collegiate and Vocational Institute, Osh-' awa. She had been a resident of Oshawa for the past five years. She married William Delaney Dec. 29, 1962. Mrs. Delaney was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Besides her husband, Mrs. Delaney leaves a son, William Ronald, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald P paves, all of Oshawa. The funeral service will be held in the McIntosh - Anderson Funeral Chapel, Saturday, Feb 1, at 3.30 p.m. Rev. WILLIAM HAMLYN One 'of Oshawa's oldest life- time residents, Mrs. William Hamlyn, died at her home, 512 Simcoe street south, Wednes- day, Jan. 29, in her 98rd year. She'had been in failing health for the past year, Born in Oshawa, she was the former Jessie Ann Johnston, a daughter of the late Samuel and Jean Johnston. Mrs. Hamlyn was a member of Albert Street United Church. She was predeceased by ~~ husband, William Hamlyn, in 1939. Mrs. Hamlyn is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Greer (Lillian), and three sons, Norman H., Nelson J., and Douglas H., all of Oshawa. There are five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, John Johnston, of Lindsay. Mrs. Hamlyn was predeceased by a son, Ruben E. Hamlyn.
