PeeWee Lacrosse Team Being Named In Tribute Former Oshawa Player The magic name of Kelly De- Gray will again ring forth in Oshawa lacrosse circles. A team to be called "The Kelly De- Grays" will participate in the peewee category of th Oshawa Minor Lacrosse Association this season. President Ed Kolodzie an- nounced that the team is being sponsored through the generous donation of Mrs. Kelly DeGray in memory of her late husband. "Kelly was fond of lacrosse and took a particular interest in see- ing young boys play the game and he always supported minor lacrosse in every possible way," Mrs. DeGray stated. Kelly was the fourth-rank player in Canadian during the first half-century. He was an outstanding centre on the General Motors team, when lacrosse ; it captured the Mann Cup in | 1929. He also played in the world amateur championship tournament against Baltimore's John Hopkins University and later was a star with the pro- fessional Montreal Canadians Lacrosse Club. Final details have not been re- leased but it appears that there will b a lacrosse seminar and clinic near the end of April, pos- sibly April 25, at a location to be announced.
