I was an only child and the family had quite a lot of money. My dad managed to lose everything by the time I gradu- ated from high school. He is |dead now, A few weeks ago, at .a family jparty, they got to talking about jmy mother and what beautiful): jewelry she*had. One of myj: cousins asked what happened to the jewelry, My great uncle re- plied. "They buried her in it.") When we got home I men-| tioned to my wife that we could| sure use some money and J) would like to have my mother's grave dug up and sell the jew- elry, She looked at me like 1 was crazy. Would this be such a terrible thing to do? After all, I am enti'ted to whatever worldly goods my parents had.| My wife says the thought of it oa her skin crawl. May I have your opinion? -- PRACTI-|. CAL MAN Dear Man: How practical can you get? You've managed to get byt his long without digging up any graves, haven't you? If you are so nuts about money why don't you dig up a second job? Dear Ann Landers: We are all shook up. It was discovered a few days ago that a certain girl in our class-(we are high scnool ' juniors) has been yaning up a "fal se front." Would Disinter Mom To Get Her Jewelry Her shower partner got m at her for some petty reason and told. The news has spread like wild-fire and the boys are making rude remarks. The girl is so embarrassed she can't hold her head up. We all feel sorry for her be- something wrong with the man I am married to? Wallace (not his real name) PERSONALS is 30 years old. We have been} married seven years and have} two pre-school children. Wallace is a faithful and considerate husband and a fine father. Al- though we have our little spats, I would say our marriage is a solid one, I should add, our sex life is 'very satisfying. Last week I discovered by ac- cident that Wallace has hidden some girlie magazines under his toolbox in the basement work- shop. I've heard about suck magazines but I had never seen one. Believe me I was shocked that girls would pose that way without even covering up their cause she is a good person. Also, we don't feel that what! she did was such a crime: She! is tall and thin and built like a flagpole. Please print this letter with a ilittle plea for understanding. [Thank you from all of us.-- SORRY FOR HER Dear Sorry: I can imagine no topic which would be less any- body else's business than this| one, A girl does not owe an affi- davit to the public that every- \thing they see is for real. This goes for teeth, eyelashes, and yes--measurements. The one who should be hang- ing her head in shame is that big-mouth dame who blabbed. After a brief session, Mrs. Donald J. Brockman intro- duced Mr, Jack Kaufman, who spoke briefly on calcites, illus- trating his talk with specimens of various calcite crystals which were on display by Mr. John Pratt. Various features of cal- cite were the large number o! «varieties -- over 300; hardness. was 3 and the basic chemica! was calcium carbonate. During the war pure calcite was used in bombsights because of its re- fractory qualities. Excellent specimens of calcite crystals "could be found in Joplin, Mis- souri, Mexico and Bancroft, On- tario. The main-feature of the eve- ning was a most interesting nar- rative of a trip to California by Mr. Eddie Warburton and illus- trated with slides, with special emphasis on Bryce Canyon and Zon Canyon and the rock form- ations in both. The colors and magnificent. structures were breath-taking. Mr. Warburton also had specimens of rocks from this area which he had brought back and were various shades of pinks and mauves. A feature that intrigued. members, and guests was the home-built cartop tent Mr. Warburton had constructed for his trip and il- justrated with slides on severa! locations where he had camped. stretch LINE UP SCHEDULES KITCHENER, Ont.
