The building, and the nearby Registny Office is currently jowned jointly by the County of Ontario and the' City of Oshawa (18 per cent), Mrs. Kathleen Hutchings, a teacher at Dundas Street Public School, was honored by the Whitby Red Cross Association at a meeting here last night. She received a "Badge of Merit Award' from Association President Dr. John Wall as a tribute for teaching and fostering the Junior Red Cross in her school for the past 15 years. This was a special '"'Mother's Day" meeting, several readings on Mothers were given by Mrs. Mapor Read and also special Mother's Day songs were sung. Each mother was presented with a rose. Lunch was served by the com- mittee in charge. MISSION COUNCIL Pentecostal Church Women Mission Council held its month- ly meeting Tuesday, May 19 at the Church. President Mrs. Ewen Mac- Donald chaired the meeting. The evening was spent in quilt- ing. These will be forwarded to Missions. It was announced that the last meeting of the present season will be held June 8 instead of the regular third Monday.
