'GQ THE OSHAWA TIMES, Wednesday, June 24, 1964 IN BOWMANVILLE COURT Two Youths Convicted Gas Station Break-Ins BOWMANVILLE (Staff) -- 'Two youths who broke into gas stations on May 28 were re- manded in cusotdy until July 7 for sentencing when they ap- peared in magistrate's court here Tuesday. Stephen Blonden, 17 and Her- bert Clark, 17, both borough, were brought to court from the county jail in Whitby -on a judges order. They were charged with break and enter with intent. A third Peterborough youth, Jean McGrath, after pleading not guilty to the same charge, had his case adjourned one week. Constable J. Dryden, OPP, testified that on May 28 a gaso- line station on Highway 23 was 'broken into. He said a back win- dow was smashed to gain entry 'and the inside of the station was ransacked. A coin box from a 'vending machine was stolen as was a .22 calibre rifle. Another gas station on High- way 2 was also broken into the same night but nothing was stolen.
