PHILLIES were rained out yesterday but San Francisco failed to gain any ground as they had to settle for a split in their twin-bill with the Cubs in Chicago. Willie Mays homered for three runs, to help Giants win the second game 7-2 but they dropped the first one to the Cubs 2-0 when Bob Buhl came up with a fine four-hit mound performance. Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, raising the hall's membership to 113. Ritchie, 73, who deals in real estate, was born at Cobden, Ont., moved to Regina as a 21- year-old and served 'as manager and coach of the Roughriders-- the name he pinned on the club ---for many years. His teams won 56 consecutive games and nine western championships. Ritchie insisted on challeng- ing the East for the Grey Cup at a time when the East was loaded with football talent. Peyton homered for Nipigon in the second, Wilson singled and scored with Hamilton's help in the seventh and they managed to get the tying run off Christy in the 9th, after there were two out, on hits by Wilson and Ham- ilton, plus an error.
