Brown The Boy Scouts of Canada paid honor to Mrs. Edward Brown for long service to Scout Auxiliary work, at a meeting of the District Committee for Scout Group Ladies' Auxil- jaries last Thursday evening. Stanley Richardson, executive commissiqner, Oshawa District Council, Boy Scouts of Canada in making the presentation pointed out that Mrs. Brown had never had a son in Scout- ing, yet from a keen interest in the movement and' in the youth of Oshawa had served with the 6th Oshawa Scout Auxiliary since 1946. She also served the Ist Oshawa for two. summers when she took on the task of camp cook at Camp Samac and became affection- ately known to the Scouts on staff as Grandma Brown. "Mrs. Brown stands ready to serve Scouting at anytime, an spends many hours each year assisting with the work.
