Generals found themselves facing a determined bunch of speedy checkers and the first period was scoreless. However, experience and superior skill paid off in the middle canto, when Generals scored four un- answered tallies. The final score was 7-1 but the Juveniles were by no means disgraced. They gave an excellent ac- count of themselves. Bobby Orr, Wayne Cashman and Ron Buchanan played the first period only, then were given a rest, in preparation for the Generals' busy weekend safari. Ian Young was in the nets for the Juniors. Generals leave to- night for Boston, where they will play the Niagara Falls Fly- ers. They will be guests at the Rangers-Bruins game there on Saturday night and on Sunday, Generals play back in St. Catharines. x x x x BASEBALL news. out of the big meeting at Houston, so far is mostly of the "rumor"' variety, with several trades being talked about, but so far, few concluded.
