On Fri- day and Saturday evenings the same stage was the scene for our drama society's presenta- tion of Thornton Wilder's 'Our Town." Even those who didn't have the opportunity of seeing the production in its entirety did at least view some of it, for on Wednesday our afternoon classes were shortened and the whole student body was treated to a sneak preview of a portion of the first act of "Our Town." For our auditorium was reminiscent of the theatre of Shakespearean days, with the seniors claiming the bleachers while those of the lower classes found themselves seated on the floor itself. Throughout the week the en- tire school, and not only the drama club, was caught up in the preparations for the play. Even our noon hour sock hops had to be cancelled because of the installation of new stage lighting which was purchased this year from funds set aside by the Students' Council over the past few years.
