The suit was filed Friday by the United States Brewing Com- pany, which recently began to market a non - alcholic near beer. A company spokesman said he went to Mrs. Tooze and asked her to endorse the near beer. Later, the WCTU issued a press release in which she attacked the idea. WICHITA, Kan. (CP)--The emergence of China as a world power could mean the end of the cold war between Russia and the United States, says Alvin Hamilton, Conservative MP for the Saskatchewan rid- ing of Qu'Appelle. Mr. Hamilton told the Kansas S\Institute of International rela- tions that with three major powers in the world, it would seem "the strategy of each of the big powers would be to play 'odd-man out.'"' "Could it be that Russia is trying to disentangle itself from its confrontation with the U.S? Could it be that China is trying to keep Russia and the U.S. en- tangled? "Perhaps it might be time for the U.S. to consider that China might want to disengage from the U.S. He said that looking at the histories of the three powers, and recognizing all three were nationalistically inclined, it was a case of "which two nations have the greatest basic reasons for confrontation?" On China's admission to the United Nations, Mr. Hamilton sai? that "under long estab- lished international -law_ all countries should have recog- nized the new government in in victory for the forces of Mao Tse Tung." "Certainly our country re- grets that this was not done." | SURGERY FOR HEADACHE | South African surgeons have| discovered persistent headaches are sometimes cured by insert- ng half-inch ball-bearings be- tinues to send out statements in|tween the discs of the spine be- ow the neck. disapproval. | m dike gold rush "How can you move the locale| of Klondike history from its true| home to Edmonton?"
