The win was a big one for the Whitby club, as it moves them to within two points of the front- running, undefeated Huntsville 'Teen Towners, who have 12 points, as against the Steelers' 1 points in seven games. The two Whitby defeats have come at the hands of the Teen Town- ers. Last night's game was very fast and cicanly-played with the Steelers once again relying' on their fast-breaking and accurate shooting; to catch the St. Kitts' team out ef position on numer- ous occasions. Tim Gray sparked the scor- ing attack for the Steelers as he triggered three goals. Dave Keenan, Mike Lewis and Al Partington were two-goal men in the winning cause. Bill Gres- ham, Larry Haight, Butch Brady and captain Dave Hous- ton each added singletons. Stan Ignatczuk paced the at- tack for the losing home side with two goals. Aces were pick-| ed up by Wayne McMahon,) Keith Moore, Jim McDonald! and Claude Gault. Brian Bremner was between) \the pipes and came up with an-| jother standout performance. Because of the strict applica- over the weekend, when theyiicn of Moslem religious edicts were informed that Ron Sutton, one of the most improved play: ers on the club, will be lost to the team for the balance of the season. He was injured in the game here last Thursday night. The play appeared as only a hard check from be- hind, but proved otherwise. Latest reports from the Osh- awa Hospital were unable to give a definite answer to just 'how serious the injury was, but first reports feared a ruptured| kidney. Ron is,in Room 31, Floor 3A, and we know he would appreciate getting a card from any of his friends and fans of the area. He will be missed around the local team and dressing room. Steelers will be in action on the holiday (July 1) at the Whitby rink, when they play host to either Markham or East York. At time of writing, it was not known just which team will be here. In either case, it should make for some good action as both clubs will be out to make lamends for the defeats suffer- ed at the hands of the Steel- ers, especially if it is Mark- ham, as the locals thumped {them good in their first meet- ing. y,|know how to say "Slide, Kelly, | slide' in Spanish? You may be told it has an ample "hall" and that the rent can be discussed in another "inter- view." | Clothing--The young girl look- ing for a shorty negligee needs only ask for 'tun baby doll." Most programs will be Amer- ican, Egyptian or European films, with live shows limited to religious discussions, newscasts and speeches. As yet, exact censorship rules have not been set down, and programs are being selected on their individual merit. Former Liberal Candidate Dies LONDON, Ont. (CP) --T. Harry Quigley, 44, a former Liberal candidate in provincial and federal elections, died of}? cancer in hospital here Monday. A native of London, he won the Liberal nomination for Lon- don South in the 1962 federal campaign before losing out to G. Ernest Halpenny, a Progres- sive Conservative. In February, 1963, he lost the Liberal nomination to Clarence Peterson. Later that year, Mr. Quigley entered the provincial campaign for London South but was de- feated by John White, present Conservative whip in the On- tario legislature. He served with the Royal Ca- nadian Navy during the Second World War. His wife, Lucy, is a sister of ;\John Wintermeyer, former On- tario Liberal leader. He is sur- vived by a daughter and a son. Funeral service is to be held here Thursday. WANTS OPEN a tie ATLANTA, Ga. (CP) -- Esther Rawn is campaigning to have the city's golf courses set|/ aside a children's day- each week.
