(CP) -- To help alleviate the shortage of summer farm labor, more than 500 Indians from James Bay re- serves are to work on farms in Essex and Kent counties and in the Niagara area of Ontario. In co-operation with the Na- tional Employment Service and the Indian affairs branch of the department of citizenship and immigration, nine young Indi- ans are at present attending a special course at the University of Windsor. The nine are being trained as liaison officers to act on behalf of the Indians and the farmer-employers. W. I. Davison, farm labor co- ordinator for the federal-provin- cial farm labor committee, said here that the more than 500 In- dians represent more than twice the number employed on last year's crop harvest. Paul gives us a further glimpse into the eternal pattern in his assurance that in every- thing God works with us for good, but only to those who love God and are called ac- cording to His purpose, Every- thing is against the worldly having attained a state of com- plete perfection. He knew this still lay before him and, liken- ing his situation to a race be- ing run toward this goal, he emphasized his determination to press on until he wins his prize, "the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Likewise, the Christian must strive for a jmore perfect spiritual life in order to be a true and worthy we possess and pride ourselves time in the fall of 1965 passen- gers flying from Montreal to Quebec City by Air Canada will unknowingly use what is said to be one of the world's most advanced electronic reserva- tions systems. Air Canada plans to add to its present part-electronic, part- manual reservations system a new electronic passenger name record arrangement developed by the airline. A private company (Bur- roughs Business Machines Ltd.) is to supply the new computer. A spokesman for the airline said a "pilot model" will be in- stalled here in the fail to serve both Montreal and Quebec City through the company's Mont- real reservations office. Should the system prove suc- cessful, it will be duplicated across Canada and at other North American points served by the. airline. Operating in conjunction with the company's present system, the passenger name record sys- tem will permit individual iden- tification of each passenger holding a reservation; his travel date, flight number, des- tination and other information pertinent to his travel arrange- ments. The computer system will be capable of expansion in the 'future for automatically check- ing in passengers at the air terminals, the spokesman said. At the present time, the pas- senger name record is filled manually. The new computer system will file reservations informa- tion electronically, storing it for almost instantaneous access when required. The complete itinerary for each passenger holding a reservation will be readily available on request by _ Air Canada agents at each - boarding station. ---------- HEAR The Back to the Bible Broadcast DAILY Mon, te Set. 9:30 - 10:00 am.
