There are three brothers, Ran- ald, Kenneth and Stanley, all of whom live at Orillia. In his 8ist year, he had been in failing health for the past three years. Born in the cathedral town of Canterbury, England, he moved to Canada at an early age. He married the former Miss Edith Marie Masserella in 1904. He and his wife celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last year. For 36 years he owned and operated the Gold Medal Clean- ers on Bond st. e, The business |is now run by his sons. He was a member of St. George's Anglican Church, the Phoenix Lodge No. 22, IOOF of which he was a Past District Deputy Grand Master, the Can- tons and the Ontario Encamp- ment No. 10. He had a country home at Pine Point on Scugog Lake and spent the winters at Daytona |Beach, Florida. During the First World War he served overseas with the 37th Battalion, He was in France between 1915 and 1919. He was a member of the Osh- awa Canadian Legion. He leaves his wife Edith; j| two sons, Victor of Whitby and Lawrence of Oshawa; ~ two daughters, Mrs. N. Chandler (Dorothy) and Mrs. E. Bouck- ley, (Fairley), both of Oshawa.
