Cooper - Lloyd De Borgia, Montana, will be the eventual home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Edwin Cooper whose marriage took place in Christ Memorial Church last Saturday afternoon, The bride, the former Margaret Ruth Lloyd, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Lloyd of Oshawa, and the bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Cooper of De Borgia. The Venerable H. D. Clever-} don performed the ceremony and the organist was Miss Elizabeth Broadbent. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full- length gown of white faille taf- feta with bateau neckline and elbow-length sleeves. Guipure lace was appliqued at the waist- line and from fine pleating in the back, the skirt fanned into a bell train. A wedding band head- dress of 'shirred tulle secured her full-length veil and she held a bouquet of yellow roses, white gladiolas and stephanotis. She carried a lace handkerchief which had belonged to her great grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Rowed of London, Ontario, and Gwilliam - Brooks Dorothy Maude,, daughter of| Mr. and Mrs, Cecil D. Brooks and Donald James Gwilliam, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack L. Gwilliam, all of Oshawa, repeat- ed their nuptial vows before the Reverend N. F. Swackhammer in Northminster United Church last Saturday afternoon. The organist, Mr. John Rob- ertson played the wedding music and accompanied Mr Larry Marshall, the soloist. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a full-length gown of Ligoda fea- turing a bodice of imported Guipure lace with a scoop neck- line and elbow-length sleeves. The semi-A-line skirt was trim- med down the front with tiny lace-covered buttons and dra- matized at the back by a series of folds cascading into a chapel train. A double-tiered crown of pearls held her scalloped veil and sig carried a bouquet of red and White roses Miss Lorraine Brooks was her sister's maid of honor wearing a full-length gown of cotillion blue chromespun with a hodice of white Chantilly lace, re-em- broidered in blue. The back in- terest was a watteau train with a self bow The other attendants were Miss Carol Brooks, Oshawa, and Mrs. Jack Gwilliam, Brampton. They wore full-length gowns of white Chantilly lace re-embroidered in blue over co- tilli blue chromespun with sleeVfiess bodices topped by short bolero jackets. They all wore blue bow headdresses with brief veils of silk illusion. The flower girls, Miss Debra and Miss Pamela Gwilliam of Brampton wore pink chiffon dresses with Chantilly lace bod- ices and white flowers on their hair. They carried nosegays of shasta daisies. Mr. Jack Gwilliam, Bramp- ton, was his brother's best man and ushering were Mr. Kenneth Gwilliam, Peterborough and Mr Robert Taylor, Oshawa. A reception was held at the Hotel Genosha where the bride's mother received in a two-piece ensemble of pink Chantilly lace with pink accessories and a cor- sage of pink and white roses. The bridegroom's mother as- sisted wearing royal blue with beige accessories and a ------ of pink roses. which has been carried by three generations of brides. The bride's sister, Mrs. Wil- liam McQueen, was her matron of honor wearing a floor-length sleeveless gown of aqua organ- za over taffeta with a bodice of sculptured Guipure lace. A white flower and veil formed her headdress and her bouquet was} composed of white gladiolas and yellow roses, Mr. Larry Linnard, of Mau- jmee, Ohio, was the best man and Mr. William McQueen ush- ered. The reception was held at the bride's parents' home and Mrs. Lloyd received in soft pink peau de soie with Guipure lace; a feathered cloche hat and cor- sage of gardenias. The bridegroom is well known for his professional travelogues and the couple have left for a combined honeymoon and fact- finding, photographic tour of Alaska. They will make their home in De Borgia, Montana. As they left, the bride was wearing a two-pice suit of black and cranberry red sheer wool with black patent accessories, Mrs. Cecil D.
