Sits---Lisya-Pegg,the-prosident, presided, and welcomed the members .Mrs. Harold Parrott was in charge of the worship service, taking for her topic, "Let us Give Thanks unto the Lord." Mrs. Harold Parrott reported that three girls and three boys were sent to camp during the summer, and a note of appre- ciation had been received. Mrs. Howard Brown reported on the National Temperance study course for the Sunday schools and would like the writ- ten essays in by November 1. The talent money will be re- ceived at the November meet- ing, also it is time for the dues to be paid. December 2 is the date set for the bazaar and tea. Several members who are shut-ins are to be remembered with cards. Mrs. Clayton Lee. introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Hel- muth Dyck, who spoke of her six and a half years as a nurse to the people of India. Mrs. Lloyd Pegg thanked Mrs. Dyck. This was educational as the members learned ftom Mrs. Branch how people live and some of their customs in other) parts of the world. Refreshments were served by the committee in charge. S. A.
