@ THE OSHAWA TIMES, Scturdey, November 13, 1965 . Trade-Winds Blowing Twixt Cellar-Dwellers By THE CANADIAN PRESS The trade pot is boiling again in the National Hockey League and the hottest rumor concerns the bottom three teams in the league--Detroit Red Wings, Tor- onto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. The Bruins in their accus- tomed position at the bottom of the standings with four points in eight starts, are reported to be working on a major player swap with either Toronto or De- troit In Boston, the version is that Bruins' general manager Hap Emms has been trying to drum up business since Monday. But he had no comment Friday on trade possibilities. In Toronto, though, newspa- per reports mentioned forwards Mike Walton and Wally Boyer as bait for a possible deal for John Bucyk of the Bruins. Walton is with Tulsa Oilers of the Central Pro League and Boyer is with Rochester Ameri- cans of the American Hockey League, both Leaf farm clubs. MAY START HAGGLING Toronto is at Boston Sunday night and if there's anything to the rumors, Emms and mana- ger-coach Punch Imlach of the Ottawa-Hamilton Repeat, But 10 New Rider Faces By BOB MacKENZIE OTTAWA (CP) Ottawa Rough Riders and Hamilton Ti- get-Cats have wound up again where they left off last year-- in a two-game, total-point play- off to determine the Eastern Football Conference finalist in the Grey Cup. The Ticats won the eastern series by a single point. But ten of the 30 Ottawa play- ers who will take the field at 2 pm. EST Sunday weren't around last year--in fact nine of them weren't even. playing professional. football. While, Hamilton's offence hasn't been as consistent under trates on Ottawa's defensive backfield, "It may slow down the play- ers but the pass receiver still Leafs are certain to get to- gether for some haggling. In other weekend action, New York Rangers play at Toronto tonight while Montreal Canadi- ens visit Chicago Black Hawks. Other games Sunday night have Montreal at Detroit and New York at Chicago. Imlach was tight-lipped about any trades, but he said that rookie Brit Selby, a left winger with the Leafs, is in the NHL to stay this season. Selby has played six games with the Leafs, which means he can't be shipped back to the mi- nors unless Toronto first puts him on waivers. "You can bet I have no inten- tions of risking waivers on Selby," said Imlach, "He may not take a regular turn in every game, but he's here to stay." TEST OUT WALTON Imlach also said that Walton will join the Leafs for a trial later in the season, which indi- cates he doesn't plan to trade him. The clubs meet at Oshawa Civic Auditorium at 8.00 p.m. In 10 games this season, Fly- ers have managed eight wins and a pair of ties for 18 points, three more than Oshawa.
