Miss Powers spoke of the Mexican customs, their arts and crafts. At the close of her talk she displayed Mexican jade and silver jewelry. Mrs. Percy Bradley, of the Service committee, was author- ized to purchase flarinelette so that layettes could be made by the members and donated to the Children's Aid Society. Members approved a donation to the Beta Sigma Phi Centen- nial Project in Ottawa. In her Ways and Means Com- mittee report, Mrs. Harold Ball reported on the successful cof- fee party held recently at the home of Mrs. John Matthews. Teen-age doll clothes were sold at the party. At the next regular meeting, to be held at the home of Mrs. John Matthews, Rossmount street, the Exemplar degree will be conferred upon two members of Gamma Epsilon Chapter. Mrs. Ken Young announced that the program at the next meeting would be on the sub- ject of "South America" and would be given by Mrs. Mervin Perkin. Members were asked to research the topic and be pre- pared to discuss any questions which Mrs. Perkin may ask during the presentation of her program.
