Glass Fibre Drapes Easily Cleaned By ELEANOR ROSS Just how should glass fibre draperies and curtains be laun- dered to assure long life and beauty? With so many synthetic fab- rics available, it is easy to be- come confused as to individual care. : Many manufacturers include washing instructions with ready- made curtains and draperies. But these are not always read by the housewife--with the re- sult that fabrics that should be washed are dry cleaned and vice versa. The glass fibre division of the Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. has compiled an excellent list of do's and don'ts that we feel should in- terest our readers. . Three important "don'ts" that should be emphasized: Don't put the fabric in a wash- ing machine (some glass fibre fabrics are machine-washable, but the majority are not). Don't dry clean. Don't iron. } Dry cleaning solvents will dis-|'/* solve the finish that protects the fabric and keeps it suppl Ironing will, damage the gab- ric.
