Factory Fireman Goes To Prison GLASGOW, Scotiand (CP)-- Factory fireman Mike Rodger, driven by boredom and dreams of glory to set his own fires, was jailed. for a year here after his last blaze got out of hand and caused £1,000,000 ($3,000,000) damage. Gastan N. Provost, President of A and P's Canadian opera- tions, said that the Canadian corporation pill be established as an autonomous company. Previously it has been r the supervision of the New Eng- land Division, headquartered in Boston. ' Mr. Provost said that the de- cision to establish the Canadian corporation as a separate en- tity was based on a detailed study and is designed to achieve greater operating efficiency. In the Dominion, A and P 4s Canadian in every respect, Mr. Provost said. All of the. oper- ating officers and virtually all of the employees are Canadian.
