(OP) -- London has a bylaw which would forbid Canada's Con- federation Train to toot when it arrives in June. And the toot is one of the special features of the train. The train whistle plays the first four notes of O Canada. But a city bylaw forbids railway locomotives to whistle within city limits. The problem is_ being passed on to city council by London's_ centennial com- mittee. U.S. Claims Dam Damage OTTAWA (CP) --American claims against Canada for dam- ages caused by high water ley- els on Lake Ontario in 1951-52 come before a special interna- tional tribunal today. The deadline for filing claims expired at midnight' Monday and the Canada-United States Lake Ontario Claims Tribunal is to hold its first meeting to- day. An agreement between the two countries says that the three- man commission must Complete its work within two years of the first meeting, unless both coun- tries grant an extension. The Lake Ontario claims are being made by New York State property owners, who blame water damage done in 1951-52 on the operation of a Canadian navigation dam on the St, Law- The dam has since been re- moved. Charles Cole, Canadian secre- tary to the tribunal, said its first job will be to determine the liability of Canada in the case, Police Mix At Funeral TORONTO (CP) -- Detect- ives mingled with mourners Tuesday as Salvatore (Sammy) Triumbari, slain in gangland style outside his home Friday, was buried in a golden-covered coffin. Poliee photographed the mourners while other plain- clothes detectives, including one woman, mixed with the 150 relatives, friends and acquaint- ances of the Toronto soft drink manufacturer. Police investigation in two continents has so far failed to turn up a solution to the murder of the Italian-born Triumbari, who came to Canada in 1950. The Herald denied the charge. * In its decision, the board said it found no evidence to support the union's accusation. , Jesuit Leader To Visit Canada TORONTO (CP)--Rev. Pedro Arrupe, general of the Roman Catholic Jesuit order, will visit Canada in the first two weeks of May, it was announced Tues- day. It will be the first time a Jesuit general has visited this country. The cross-Canada tour is ex- pected to begin May 2 in Van- couver. Father Arrupe, a native of Spain who was elected head of the order in May, 1965, will be accompanied by Rev. John L. Swain, one of his four main assistantts. Father Swain is a native of Kemptville, Ont. Their tentative itinerary calls for visits to Jesuit houses and missions at Vancouver, Regina, Winnipeg, Northern Ontario, Sainte Marie among the Hurons and the Martyrs' Shrine near Midland, Ont., Montreal, Que- bee and Toronto and possibly the Atlantic provinces. There are about 1,200 Jesuits in Canada.
