SCOTT The memorial service for Mrs George E. Scott, who died April 5, at the Oshawa General Hos- pital, in her 58th year, was held ® at the Armstrong Funeral Home} at 2 p.m., April 8. The service was conducted by| Rev. John Porter, minister of ) Westminster United Church. In-| \from the Northcutt and Smith terment was in Mount Lawn Cemetery. The pallbearers were Dick Schad, Lloyd Scott, Bert Blair, Bud Suddard, Ted Pelletier and Stan Nottingham. JAMES BLOOMER In failing health for two years, James Bloomer, 49 Gib- bons Street, died April 10, at the Oshawa General Hospital. He was in his 8lst year. Born at Durham, Ont., the deceased was a son of the late William and Annie Bloomer. A resident of Oshawa practically all his life, he was a butcher by trade and was employed for many years at the Cawker but- cher shop. Prior to his retire ment in 1956, he was employed about 12 years in the mainten- ance department at General Motors. Mr. Bloomer was a member of Centre Street Unit- ed Church. '. He is survived by his wife, the former Ethel Morris; two daughters, Mrs. James Wood (Lorna) and Mrs. Don War- rington (Ruby) and a_ son, George, all of Oshawa. Also surviving are three sis- ters, Mrs. Ernest Long, Mrs. Ethel Evans and Mrs. Major and a brother, Russell, all of Rochester,N.Y. The funeral service will be held at the Gerrow Funeral Home at 2 p.m., April 12, fol- lowed by interment in Oshawa Union Cemetery. Rev. A. W. Magee, minister of Centre Street United Church, will con- duct the service. ALBERT FRANK BRADFORD In failing health for two years, Albert Frank Bradford, 59 Garrard Road North, died April 9. He was in his 86th year. A son of the late Peter and Louise Bradford, the deceased was born May 31, 1881, in Lon-| don, England. He came to Can- ada in 1920 and resided in Peterborough before coming to| Oshawa in 1924. A member of the Church of | England, Mr. Bradford was an experimental engineer. Prior to his retirement in 1947, he was employed by Research Indus- tries at Leaside. He is survived by his wife, the former Ann Louise Wing; three daughters, Mrs. H. Cooke (Violet) of Seern Bridge, Mrs, P. Finney (Gladys) of Bowmanville and Mrs. Baker (Lillian) of Toronto and a son, Albert W. Bradford, of Oshawa. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and a large num- ber of great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at the McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home at 3.30 p.m., April 11, Interment will be in Oshawa Union Cemetery. Rev. K. J. Frampton, rector of St. John's Anglican Church, Bow- manville, will conduct the service. MRS. M. LORRAINE CLARK Although in ill health for sev- eral years, the death of Mildred Lorraine Clark, nee Allin, occurred suddenly at Bowman- ville, March 27, 1967, She was in her 30th year. Daughter of Mrs. Dorothy Allin, Hampton, and the late Harold Allin, the deceased was born at Hampton and received her education at Hampton Pub- lic School and Bowmanville High School. Low- rie, the deceased was a daugh- ter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Lowrie. Born Aug. 31, 1896, at Edinburgh, Scotland, she came to Canada 40 years ago. A resident of Oshawa for 30 years she had preiously liv- ed in Toronto. Mrs. Harper was predeceased by her two husbands, James Clark in 1935 and Irvel Edwin Harper, Jan. 25, 1958. She is sur- vived by two daughters, Mrs. J. K. Sanders (Patricia) of Ajax and Mrs. N. Kearns (Carolyn) of Toronto and two sons, Will- iam J. Clark and Ian Clark, both of Oshawa. Also surviving are two sist- ers, Miss Monica Lowrie of To- ronto and Mrs. Sarah Hynd of London, Ont.; a brother, Alex Lowrie of Scotland; 13 grand- children and three great-grand- children. The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., April 12, at the Armstrog Funeral Home. Inter- ment will be in Mount Lawn Ce- metery. Rev. G. W. C.
