While at La Paz, they walked in the snow on the Chacaltaua Peak Sky resort and visited the cosmic ray research labora- tory; then, lovely Bariloche and the Lake district of Chile They journeyed across Argen tina and Brazil' and flew to Dakar, West Africa. They con tinued by plane to Johannes- burg. They were privileged to watch the Bantu inter - tribal dances and while at Pretoria visited. a village of the colorful N'debele tribe From Victoria Falls, Rho desia, they had a cruise on the Zambesi River to an_ island where "velvet" monkeys abound. They went on to Salis bury and Mozambique and spent several days in the Kreu ger and other game parks, see- ing all kinds of wild animals in the native state When in Durban, they met Elaine Tanner from Vancouver and saw her win in a swim competition there. On the "garden route" they saw beautiful flowers, the Cape heather in many colors, and bright birds.
