The total cost of the installation will be $108,000, of which property owners will pay $55,600. Council was told by Council- lor Vernon MacCarl, chairman of the Centennial Celebration Committee, that more than 3,700 centennial pins have been distributed to Whitby School children. He said 5,000 copies of a centennial booklet and pro- gram recording the past and present history of Whitby will go on sale July 1.
