Most of the gowns are de- signed in either the A-line or empire styles. There are few of the bouffant type skirts, long associated with bridal gowns. Nor is there the layered look of net and organza that made the bride look as though she 'was wrapped rather than dres- sed. One of the most popular fab- rics will be Irish linen, simple yet rich looking. Trains are all detachable and are either in the circular or court style. Feminine touches are added to the gowns with lace trims at the yoke, on the sleeves, skirt and veil. Particularly pop- ular is the Guipure lace, with larger overall patterns.
