Town Line – On Tuesday evening (Dec. 17) Miss Annie Rowe was surprised by the members and adherents of Almond’s Church, and presented with an appropriate address and a purse containing a token of their appreciation of her services as organist for the past four years. Mr. Carruthers called the gathering to order and Mr. Sam Kemphtorne and Miss McGregor were called upon to read the address and make the presentation. Mr. F. Rowe responded on behalf of his sister, after which Mr. Wray read a short poem, expressing his sentiments. A very enjoyable time was spent for the remainder of the evening.
