Whitby’s Anne Ottenbrite is scheduled to compete in her first Major Canadian swim meet since last summer’s Olympic Games when she takes part in the Esso Cup 1985 Summer National Championships in Montreal, P. Q.
Over 200 of the country’s top male and female swimmers are expected to take part in the event which could earn them the right to represent Canada at the Pan – Pacific and World Student Games to be held in Tokyo and Kobe, Japan, in August.
A team of 52 male and female swimmers will be selected from this long course meet to compete in the games.
The Esso Cup will be held beginning July 31.
