Ajax Aquatic Club fared well at A. A. Championships, winning 26 gold medals.
Thirty swimmers from the Ajax Club competed at the Provincial Championship meet held in Etobicoke this past weekend, placing second and winning enough points to move up with the clubs swimming in the “A” Division next year, the first club in this region to achieve this position.
Ten year-old Lori Melien won gold medals in five events she entered, 400 Free, 200 Free, 200 Individual Medley, 100 Free and 100 Back, setting three Ontario records.
