Lori Melien set an Ontario high record in the recent O.F.S.A.A. swim meet in Toronto.
Melien, from Anderson C.V.I., won the 100 backstroke event in one minute three seconds, missing her personal best by three tenths of a second but easily establishing a new high school standard.
She also swam to second place in the 100 fly, and joined Heather Armitage, Jodie Walmsley and Michelle Primeau to finish second in the open girls’ medley relay.
